Abstract
Mathematics and the medical field are now linking hands at the Marquette University School of Medicine to combat the diseases and organic disorders which.have in the past taken such a toll in unnecessary deaths. Dr. Armand J. Quick of the Pharmacology department and the author have set out to discover the amount of prothrombin in blood necessary to coagulate it. It is the first time that mathematics has been applied to this field.
