Abstract
In their physics survey courses, the majority of colleges attempt to teach the solution of electrical circuits in an oversimplified manner. Of course, it is found necessary to introduce Ohm' s Law but Kirchhoff's Laws are ignored. After all, it is argued, there is sufficient time for their presentation in advanced courses such as electricity and magnetism or alternating current theory.
