Abstract
Instalment Selling is a vital current problem. Assumptions and facts are presented to the reading public by proponents and opponents of the system. Opponents of instalment selling are as outspoken with their criticism as supporters are with their praise. Our trade magazines are filled with articles of such nature. "Instalment is a perverted, species of speculation and cheap money," or "Instalment is the balance wheel by which production and distribution are equally maintained." This manuscript is written with a desire to help those, who are wrestling with this economic and social problem, a problem of great significance during a period of depression as well as during a period of prosperity.
