Abstract
Theories of color have occupied the human mind since an early date even to the present. According to Professor Frank Allen there are from sixty to seventy different theories. Plato considered color to be due to flame-like particles projected from the pores of matter into the eye. Aristotle thought colors arose from various combinations of white and black.
