Abstract
Seasonal industry has often been referred to 1n textbooks and periodicals. It is a subject in which everyone is interested, in fact, several millions or people find that their livelihood is periodically interrupted from no fault of their own, but for this particular form of industrial interruption. It is a subject which has never been given detailed study. Economists, with one or two exceptions, have never attempted to ascertain by specific investigation of facts, how far the current generalizations as to rates and wages and conditions of employment were born out by the actual phenomena. The various trades, such as the building trade and such that are periodically interrupted 'have often been given special attention, but the problem to their seasonality has not been specifically studied in connection with that of other industries.
