Abstract

It is the purpose of this thesis to show that the most significant of the trends in the theatre are toward the "Left", deriving their inspiration, .and in some cases their very being fro the U.S.S.R.; to show that the first of these theatres were the Workers Theatres, propaganda theatres, whose fountain head is Russia.
