Abstract
The aim is merely to describe the effects of American journalistic tendencies on the immigrant press. It is inevitable that mistakes of judgment, as well as of fact, should be made in selecting and interpreting this material, due to an imperfect knowledge of the German and French language, and to the immature conception of the immigrants themselves.
