Abstract

The large map set at the end of this thesis shows the boundary lines and general topography of the Hacienda de Guaname, a state owned by Don Mariano Hernandez Ceballos at the present day, situated in the high plateau of Mexico in the state of San Luis Potosi, about 75 Kilometers north of the capital of the state and to the west of the Mexican National R.R.. The extension of this property is over half a million acres but on account or the scarcity of rain fall during the Summer months, hardly any land is used for agriculture, the total area being devoted to sheep, cattle and horse raising.
