Abstract
This subject is meant to cover the methods and the means of systems which are being used in department stores today to bring about more scientific and efficient plans for retail merchandising. The entire field of merchandising in the department store is not covered, but the principles involved in the control plans, the relation of the plans to the functions of the accounting department and in the end the relation of the whole system to the management.
