Abstract
Tightened competition, increased specialistic production and service, demand that a large field be covered thoroughly with specific knowledge and information on marketable goods and service in order to enable producers and manufacturers to increase sales, or to maintain a consistent output of any product; this requires that all possible avenues of distribution be utilized, some of these avenues extending thousands of miles from the center of production or manufacture, into foreign territory, and in competition with many articles of the same kind or related utility. Such thorough knowledge and information is supplied to those who most require it through the medium of publicity or special service which Trade, Technical, and Class papers, collectively termed Trade Journalism, are enabled efficiently to give.
