Abstract
At the present time there does not exist a complete cross-section anatomical study of the common bull frog, Rana catesbiana. In fact, there has been very little mention in literature of any cross-section anatomy of any particular animal. However, there has been some work of this nature done in the study of human anatomy, especially the important publication of Eycleshymer and Schoemaker (1917), and in a small measure in the anatomy of the rabbit. This lack of literature on this certain topic, however, does not mean that the author had any intentions of presenting a complete cross-section study of the entire animal. Cross-section anatomy presents a large field f or further anatomical research and study. The present work has centered about one specified region of the body, namely, the region of the eighth vertebra.
