Abstract
It appears after exhaustive search that no complete English translation of Abelard's Ethics is available. Accordingly, not all students of philosophy have been able to use the primary source to study the system of ethics introduced by Abelard. The secondary sources or commentaries in English in most instances do not offer sufficient material for a complete understanding and appreciation of the innovation made by Abelard in the field of ethics. To furnish a translation of his Ethics is therefore the fundamental purpose of this thesis.
