Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to formulate a semester's course in speech for Junior or Senior students in High School. The course is designed with the purpose of affording students a bird is eye view of the general field of speech; to give a glimpse of the drama and interpretation, pantomime, acting, public speaking, and the physical aspect of the voice and its mechanism. The ultimate purpose of the program here outlined, is to present the scientific principles of speech training as a basis for their practical application to the improvement of everyday speech.
