Abstract
"If any progress is to be made in correcting the present faults of newspaper promotion, if any general progress is to be made in continuing the improvements that have been made, it must be aided largely by organized effort. It must come not only from individual efforts, but from knowing what others are doing and thinking." George Benneyan, promotion manager New York American.
In the above statement by the head of one of the leading promotion departments in the country lies the purpose of this thesis.
