Abstract
The problem of my thesis is (1) to ascertain the best methods for procuring a culture media in which to develop Paramecium caudatum, (2) to trace the course of the food vacuole in Paramecium caudatum with the correlating studies on Food and Digestion in related forms, and (3) to review the literature with special reference to possible acidity and alkalinity of the vacuole content.
