Abstract

The family Tropaeolacese contains one genus Tropaeolum with about fifty species living on the mountains of Mexico and the Andes as far south as Chile. Three occur also in South Brazil. Tropaeolum majus L. and Tropaeolum minus L., natives of Peru, are the "Nasturtium" of our gardens.
