Abstract
A general commercial laboratory deals with many problems completely beyond the scope of the average person not chemically, bacteriologically, or even scientifically trained. A chemical laboratory is one of those "happy hunting'' grounds that make life seem very smooth and easy for mankind in general. The artificial resins that now make up ash trays, radio cabinets, cigarette and make-up boxes, cutlery handles, various containers, and the plastics so prevalent today in watch strap, suspenders, shoes, raincoats and numerous other things, were developed in a laboratory.
