Abstract

Tremendous research has been done in recent years In the field of the protein colloids. Our small, but nevertheless important knowledge of the protein colloids is due to such eminent investigators as Loeb, Kruyt, Freundlich, and Hardy, to name only a few. They have presented to the scientific world valuable experiments and reports of their work. However, much remains to be accomplished in spite of their achievements. The fact that the whole of the organic life processes concerns Itself with colloidal phenomena, particularly the reactions of large aggregates of protein particles, is indicative that the field is widespread in its scope and offers unlimited possibilities for the research worker.
