Abstract
ABOUT THE TALK: James Carville was a guest speaker at Marquette in April 2009. He discussed the campaign strategies used to elect President Barack Obama and the issues the Obama administration faced during its first 100 days in office.
ABOUT THE SERIES: Carville's visit was co-sponsored by the Les Aspin Center for Government Alumni Council, Division of Student Affairs and Helen Way Klingler College of Arts and Sciences. The event also was supported by the Marquette University Student Government student activity fee.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER: James Carville is the former co-host of CNN's Crossfire and best known for his successful leadership of former President Bill Clinton's first campaign in 1992. Before that, he led several prominent U.S. Senate and gubernatorial campaigns in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Georgia. Carville is a best-selling author and television pundit.
