Abstract
In 1968 the Reformed Church in America (RCA) completed almost two decades of liturgical study and revision with the publication of Liturgy and Psalms, the most recent revision of its liturgy to date. The most noteworthy contribution to this latest revision, as well as the focal point of this present study, is "The Order for the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper. " A consideration of the structure of this order reveals the aim of the RCA to compose a liturgy of the Lord's Supper on the basis of the classic eucharistic prayers of the early Church, an aim common to the Roman Catholic Church and many Protestant churches during this period.
