Abstract
The purposes of this dissertation include: 1) the proposal of several new techniques, employing the functional, series, to facilitate the analysis of nonlinear systems whose nonlinearities are of the power series variety, 2) development of partial fractional expansion techniques for reducing and expanding multidimensional Laplace transform kernels, 3) development of techniques for performing stability analyses on systems characterized by multidimensional Laplace transform kernels, 4) development of algorithms for calculating the n-dimensional kernel in the characterization of a class of nonlinear system, 5) establishment of the general form of an n-dimensional kernel in the characterization of a class of nonlinear system, 6) survey present association reduction relationships and develop some additional ones, 7) survey the presently available methods for representing nonlinear systems by multidimensional transforms, and 8) confirm the correspondence between the functional series kernels and the multidimensional Laplace transform...
