Abstract

This is a day of attempted standardization in schools. Educators everywhere are attempting to reduce educational problems and their solutions to a systematized plans of procedure. To hear on every side of standard tests, standard courses of study, standards of teacher preparation and standardization in buildings. While it is obviously impossible to carry standardization to complete fixed points in most of the phases of education, there are, nevertheless, certain standards which by years of experience and the trial and error method have been found to be best, and it has seemed to the writer and his advisors that a study of standards of secondary education would be a work well worth while...
