Abstract
The studies reported in this thesis represent part of a larger continuing study of the role of the reticuloendothelial system in the pathogenesis of irreversible circulatory failure. This area of circulatory physiology has been the major research interest of our group during the tenure of the author as a U.S. Public Health Service Postdoctoral Fellow and Instructor in the Department of Physiology, Marquette University School of Medicine.
