Abstract
Contemporary man's search for community is a major aspect of twentieth century history. Various theories, ideologies, and experimental patterns pertaining to community life are being studied, evaluated, and attempted in today's struggle for unity in the human family. Man has always been aware of his need for community, if for no other reason than that of mere survival. In man's quest for community, human needs more vital than substance have acted as a driving force, however imperceptibly those needs might have been expressed in any given culture or period of history. In order to experience the communication and concern proper to human life, man has sought community.
