Abstract
During the mid 1980's United States business school graduates accounted for approximately 22 percent of all undergraduate and master degree graduates (Ouchi, 1987; Hugsted,1983). current estimates indicate that the Master in Business Administration degree (MBA) is now accounting for approximately 25% of all masters degrees awarded (The Economist, 1991). Additionally, Ouchi found that business schools were accounting for more than one-fifth of the "intellectual resources" of American universities ("intellectual resources" not further defined by Ouchi).
