Abstract
This study investigated the relationship between the past experiences and the present science interests of junior high school students and sought to demonstrate the effect upon science interests of systematically providing experiences in those content areas where interests were low through learning activities in which interest was high; and, conversely, in learning activities where interest was low by work in content areas where interest was high.
