Abstract
Problems arising from the inability to master successfully developmental tasks, and thereby to cope satisfactorily with the manifold demands of development toward maturity, are extremely varied. Often, these problems hinder the growth of wholesome character and personality. Despite the fact that these problems are individual to a great extent, there are many that are sufficiently similar and frequent so as to make them of common concern at various phases of development.
