Abstract

In recent years much interest has been demonstrated in the need for adequate student personnel service in schools of nursing, as a means of providing better preparation for nurses. The ever broadening concepts of health likewise make it imperative for nurse educators to focus attention to the personal development of the student nurse. Further stimulation of interest has come from the Nursing Organization movement toward a national accrediting program for the purpose of evaluation of the educational program in schools of nursing.1
