Abstract
This study was made to determine how attitudes toward and the rank of Modern Math in relationship to other school subjects would play in the problem solving abilities of Junior High School students as they attempt to solve problems in Math . I defined attitudes as emotionalized feelings of students for or against anything . A problem was described as anything that perplexes or challenges the mind so it makes belief uncertain. Then I attempted to investigate if there was any significant difference in attitudes or problem solving abilities between boys and girls on a Junior High School level.
