Abstract

It shall be the purpose of this paper to determine the extent to which selected techniques and procedures as defined in Chapter 2 can result in an increase in reading ability and comprehension. Throughout the experiment the growth and welfare of the pupils was the primary consideration. Only those pupils who were present in the class at the beginning and at the end of the experiment were considered in this study. Three pupils who transfered [sic] out of the class and one who transferred into the class during the course of the experiment were disregarded in this study.
