Abstract
Dormancy has been found in many plants or plant parts and has been defined as the failure of any part of a plant to respond to growth when all favorable conditions for growth exist. In seeds, rhizoms [sic], bulbs, buds, branches, seedlings, corms, tubers, and even in the entire plant itself dormancy has been reported.
