Abstract

Evidence indicates that some schools have found it necessary to use auditoriums, gymnasiums, utility rooms, and so on, as classrooms.4 There is little reason to suppose that the problem of growing pupil population reflects a temporary phenomenon which will resolve itself given enough time. The construction of new facilities becomes a matter of paramount importance to the present and future educational situation.
