Abstract
Since the subject of t his paper is the foreign policy relationships of Fascist Italy as they were related to Nazi Germany between the years 1933 to 1939, it is also a relating of the policies of one man, Benito Mussolini, for he was the architect and absolute ruler of Fascist Italy. Indirectly then, the paper traces the power- relationships existing between the Duce and Adolf Hitler, dictator of Germany. As the paper opens Mussolini is approaching his power prime; he is the strutting center-personality of the European diplomatic scene. At the close of the paper he no longer controls the fate of Europe, let alone his own nation. How this reversal of power happened is what follows.
