Abstract

Elementary school principals in order to be effective as administrative leaders must examine their ability to maintain good staff relations. This requires certain behavioral. characteristics on the part of the principal. The principal's main task is one of educational leadership. One aspect of effective leadership is the task of classroom visitation. Behavioral characteristics are not the only determinant of effectiveness, but they do make a difference in the degree of success a person in educational. administration attains.
