Abstract
In June, 1910, Senator William Lorimer introduced a resolution in Congress requesting the Senate to investigate the charges made by the Chicago Tribune that his election was secured by bribery, and was therefore invalid. His political survival depended upon whether that body voted for him to retain his seat in the Senate.
