Abstract
The characteristic attitude of most Americans ' concerning the diplomatic relations between the United States and Mexico is one of ignorance and skepticism. In an effort to interpret the entanglements between the United states and Mexico, this essay has concentrated on the years 1833-1835 with the emergence of such Mexican personalities as Bustamente and Santa Anna. These men were symbolic of the militarism that existed during the decade of the 1830's.
