Abstract
The study represents a continuation of the writer's initial introduction to and interest in the controller and his functions and activities. The study will attempt to analyze the position of the controller in business today, with emphasis placed upon the controller's position as a member of top management.
The study will examine the literature on controllership and field studies devoted to controllership practices, in the hope of discerning the attitudes of top management, financial executives, and educators regarding the controller and his position.
