Abstract

The year 1970 ushered in the intensity of the feminist movement. Proponents of FEMINIQUE range from the ultra-feminists to staunch supporters of unisex. At the same time, the "fresh air" of Pope John's Vatican II continued to cause a stir in many ecclesial circles, within which are women religious. While among these latter there are found radicals, few women religious seek to equate themselves, with their masculine counterparts.
