Abstract
For a good many years the problem of the effect of outside work on the scholastic achievement of college students h as been confronting educators. Since Marquette University is located in a metropolitan area mere work is available, and since some of its students come from families whose socio-economic level necessitates their earning all or part of the coot of their education, this problem has long been a concern of the university administration. In an effort to discover what effect, if any, outside employment has on the scholastic achievement of Marquette students, this study has been undertaken.
