Abstract
The subject of this essay has interested the writer for years. How can one relate the topics of God and of sexuality without being ashamed, accused of being a sensationalist, or accused of presenting perversions of God and of sex? My goals are to bring about a greater understanding of God and man through the study of the unifying and vital sexual act, as well as a more profound love for God and self. It is God who has created in us this tremendous human sexuality which is part of the whole personality.
The presentation of this study is primarily directed to those who believe in a Triune God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as three persons united in one divine nature. The unity that essentially exists in God also participatively exists in man, in his desire for unity. Therefore, we need to develop and expound a more explicit theology of intimacy. I hope this will be a significant contribution.
