Abstract
Of all the formative agencies exerting an influence on the adolescent, that of the home is the strongest and the most important. Hartshorne and May in their "Studies in the Organization of Character," by their findings point out that the home has more moral influence upon children than school, church, or any other institution. Within the adolescent's heart, years of interested care and parental devotion have forged ties which may be exercised upon him in this controlled environment. No other institution enjoys this prime advantage, nor can other institutions compel him to enter so intimately into the life of the group as a whole as can the home.
