Abstract
There is a concern in our society for the welfare of our schools. Our schools' purpose is to prepare youth for life as well as making a living. This is attempted through the offering of a wide range of subjects which are taught by teachers. The performance of teachers is significantly influenced positively or negatively by either effective or ineffective supervision. How an individual teacher feels about himself, about what is to be accomplished, and about the situation in which it is to be accomplished affects his overall performance. Thus, supervision directly affects the methodology and attitudes of a teacher and indirectly affects what a student learns and how he learns it. This is a significant element of the teaching-learning process.
