Abstract
The child's use of words, the ability to read,to speak, to write, and to think is limited by his vocabulary. By vocabulary is meant the words that can be understood. Research studies, educators, and teachers in the field have emphasized the need for a definite and exact knowledge of vocabulary. One of the most fruitful sources of knowing the meanings children attach to words is believed to be the child's own writing. There is a definite need to investigate the problem of the religious vocabulary of elementary school children.
