Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop a computer program which will provide a ready tool for analysing the large deflection behaviour of rectangular plates. Because of the extensive use of "plates" in modern construction industry it is of vital importance to be able to analyse the deflection and resulting stresses. In case of large deflections the differential equations of equilibrium are a set of two non-linear coupled equations, solution of which is ultimate purpose of the study initiated herein.
