Abstract
In the Old Testament God progressively initiated man into the relationship that would be consummated in Christ. This initiation involved a gradual process of God acting in Israelitic history, and man responding. And man, through this dialogue, imperfect as it was on his part, is lead to the acceptance of the fullness of the revelation in Christ.
