Abstract
The use of a planned experiment in a production process will be discussed. Two responses are analyzed. The first is variation in fill weight of a personal care product caused by processing variables. The second is actual fill weights. The object is to identify those process variables which need to be controlled in order to reduce package to package fill weight variation. The experimental design, methodology of analysis and results are discussed in the following paper.
