Abstract
Educational Television includes cultural, informational, and instructional programs. As such it has passed the thirty-year-mark of its existence and presently claims more than one hundred forty ETV stations. It is estimated that between one-fifth and one-half of our school population are exposed to television in classrooms. The emphasis in this paper will be on Instructional Television as used in elementary classrooms of the United States. ITV programming telecasts lessons with specific objectives and schedules. It forms a part of the curriculum.
