Abstract
We live in an age which is full of change and the attitudes of society toward change are often quite confusing. Last year's cars are traded in without a single regret. The hair styles that were in vogue two months ago are quickly changed and forgotten. We demand the latest in technology, medicine, style, design and fashion. A new fad or craze sweeps the country in a matter of weeks. Yet we look with suspicion at any change in our educational system. We shrink back from anything that will affect our thought patterns. We find it a painful experience, indeed, to have to reorientate our intellectual processes.
