Abstract
The elderly and children are two of our nation's neediest populations. Intergenerational programs create the link between the two generations. Feeling loved and belonging to society are two needs that could be reached through such programs. Our population is slowly growing older. Every year the percentage of elderly increases. The issues the elderly must face increase then as well. Loneliness, loss of independence, grief, concern of impending death, loss of structure in life and loss of physical and mental capabilities all are issues the elderly face.
