Abstract
During recent years there has been a constant, increasing demand for dental care. This demand is due primarily to four major factors, the first being a greater public awareness . This public awareness of, and reception to, the concept of total dental care, of regular preventive and restorative treatment can be attributed to the educational programs in dental offices and clinics, in school systems, and by the mass media of television, radio, newspapers and magazines . The old attitude of seeking dental care only when in pain is being replaced by this acceptance of routine dental care.
